This was the prototype Airvan.

199? Construction of the aircraft comenced.

03Mar1995 The aircraft flew for the first time. It was flown under the manufacturers registration VH-GAV, but did not have these markings applied. It was marked with GA8 on the tail fin.

199? The aircraft was allocated the company registration VH-PTR.

07Feb1996 The aircraft crashed and was destroyed during spinning trials.

This was the second flying prototype Airvan. The construction number has also been quoted as GA8-96-003 and GA8-9603.

Aug1996 The aircraft flew for the first time. It had the company registration VH-ZGI allocated to it, but did not get painted in these markings. It was marked Airvan on the tail fin.

11Jan1999 The aircraft was registered as VH-XGA by Gippsland Aeronautics.
