The fuselage of the CNAPG's Vampire A79-807 had been stored at Robert McMillan's property near Melbourne. During 2003 Darryl Gibbs and Dion Makowski picked up the aircrafts fuselage and took it to Wagga Wagga.

The first attempt to pick up the aircraft came to a grinding halt - literally, when the back wheel departed company from the ute.

The Vampire waiting to be loaded onto the car trailer at Robert's place on our second attempt to pick it up. Robert and his family also stored one of our Macchi's and much of our hangar framework.

This time the ute behaved and we got back to Wagga Wagga safely where the aircraft was parked at Darryl Gibbs's home.

A small amount of work has been done on this aircraft during 2003 and 2004. Major work is planned for 2005.
