On the 7th of January 2004, CNAPG members Michelle Pepper, Anne West, Dion Makowski and Darryl Gibbs loaded up a Fairey Battle cockpit and other assorted components which had been in storage at Joanne Spencer's (a friend of Dion's who trented him the garage space) in Dandenong, Victoria and took them to Wagga Wagga.
Everything was piled up in a garage where it was nice and dry. Unfortunately the weather was not so dry on the day of the move. At least it washed the dust off.

Dion Makowski destroys a spiders home before carrying out a Battle centre section main spar.

Darryl Gibbs ties down the load during a short gap in the rain while Dion Makowski watches.

There was a bit more in the garage than what we remembered and it was doubtful that we would fit everything in, but a bit of caregfull stacking in the trailer and boot did the job. Apart from the Battle cockpit, there was also a Boomerang fuel tank, B-24, Neptune, CT-4, Argosy and other assorted aircraft bits.
Anyone's guess as to how many kids (or truck drivers) were dreaming of being hangar pilots while following us up the highway to Wagga Wagga.
